Our Process

At 43Places, we meticulously attend to every aspect of our work. Our approach is tailored to each client's unique requirements, yet follows a structured journey comprising three key phases: discover, design, and deliver. We commence with a thorough exploration phase, followed by the application of our creative expertise to craft custom innovative solutions, and close with the seamless delivery of the project.

  • This is our research phase. We want to understand what is important to both the project stakeholders and the surrounding community. This phase can include community engagement, design audit, mission and vision analysis, strategic planning, site evaluation, and value proposition.

  • This is where the real fun begins. Our team takes all the knowledge surfaced in the Discover phase to create designs perfectly tailored to the site, taking into account the local community and environment while incorporating sustainable materials. This phase can include branding guidelines, storytelling journeys, renderings and concepts, and other creative elements in draft form.

  • Oh to see everything come to life! After approvals are gained, this is where we see the designs thrive in their surrounding habitat. This phase can include fabrication and installation of signage and wayfinding, activations and experiences, exhibits, and environmental graphics. And don’t worry, we stay afterwards to make sure the punch list is complete.
